This microfiction was written and inspired by the line from, Narrators Life. The line I used was, " These shared stories made us friends."

Lost Soul

John was a troubled boy who was dealing with many hardships and obstacles in
life. He had lost all his friends growing up and went down a wrong path. It
didn’t matter what he did or said he was doing what he wanted to. He was faced
with a life threatening decision that he could only make for himself. He didn’t
know what to do and was more on the defensive side than anything. He would be
lonely all the time without anyone to talk to because no one understood what he
was going through. Everyone could say inspirational or motivating things but it
didn’t matter because he knew they really didn’t understand. “
“How could anyone understand without actually going through what I did?”, he
thought to himself.
As time went on he would become more lonely. John received a phone call from
a stranger that wanted to meet him. He went to meet this person and didn’t say
anything. The other man began talking to him and telling him a story about
himself. John was shocked because the man didn’t even know me but was opening
up. He spilled everything and all I could think of was my life. After the man
was finished, John started talking. John couldn’t believe that someone has gone
through what he is dealing with. All John could think of was how this man
stories changed his life and how these shared stories made them friends for a
life time.

For this assignment I was a little confused and doubting because I don't feel I write that well nor enjoy writing stories. Hopefully you enjoy this. Here I wrote a microfiction based off of one of my tweets. The tweet I used was , " When life hands you lemons make lemonade."

Michelle was a nineteen year old girl struggling with
a heroin addiction. She was having a hard time with her addiction. Her family
was very supported of her and tried helping. Michelle was not having it.
Through family talks and counseling she decided she needed to move to California
for help. She found a rehab home to help her through this process. She wasn’t
too happy with moving so far away from family but knew this was her last chance
of getting better. She was nervous going to a new place and not having anyone to
go to. While being in California, she had many struggles . She wanted to come home
but her family wouldn’t allow it. She didn’t understand the meetings nor felt
comfortable. She would call her mom  crying on the phone pleading to come home.

Her mother told her, “ Hunny its going to be okay, you need to do this.”

“ I know but I don’t like it here, I can‘t do it.” Michelle said.

Her mother continued to talk to her and left the conversation with, “ Shell
when life hands you lemons make lemonade.”

“ What?” Shell asked.

“ Hun it will come to you.”

That night Michelle decided to speak at her meeting and open up about her
addiction. Its been four years since Michelle moved to California and everyday
she thinks of her mother and what she said to her four years ago that changed
her life.
